Appliance garage - worked very well for me Feb 29, 2008
By S. Smith
The piece was very well made and fit perfectly for my needs. I extended the walls and filled a void that had held a built-in oven. Nice craftsmanship/good product.

Works well as a spice and sauce cabinet Nov 27, 2012
This is a DIY item in that you will need to stain and/or finish the wood. You will also have to cut the cabinet to fit your space. That being said the wood is of good quality. Plywood on the sides and solid wood for the railings. The door mechanism is spring loaded to make it easier to open. The operation is not as smooth as I would like but it is very acceptable. The protruding bar on the tambour makes it easy to open and close. If you are attaching this to a counter top then be sure to caulk the edges to prevent any water from getting into the wood. I used clear silicon and it has lasted for several years now. Also, make sure you seal the end grains of the plywood and rails when you finish the wood.

This cabinet worked well in our kitchen. The wood took paint well, so it now matches our other cabinets. It went together quite simply and is holding up well with very regular use.
